Here's What You're Getting Yourself Into

• Four and a half months of up-close-and-personal missions experience in sub-Saharan Africa, including evangelism, discipleship, service and more.

• Teams of four semester missionaries working alongside experienced field supervisors.

• Two weeks of culture orientation and three weeks of formal language training (if necessary) before plunging into full-time ministry as an integral part of a missionary team.

Opportunities to Serve

Spring 2008 (Jan 10-May 29)
Fall 2008 (Aug 1 or 5-Dec 15 depends on region)
Spring 2009 (dates TBA)
Fall 2009 (dates TBA)

Time slots are designed on a semester basis to accommodate students. Many positions will allow students to be home in time to find a summer job, or for Christmas.

Cost

Every HandsOn missionary must raise $2,600 to serve in sub-Saharan Africa. That is actually about one-third of the actual field costs for your position and plane tickets, but the International Mission Board is kicking in the rest. Click here to find some fund-raising tips.
