Navigation - How do I get around the IPS site?

How to Navigate this Site.

The "Main" links are shown on the left side of your screen. The links will take you to the main sections of the site. As you 'click' on them they will take you to a new page and may also include new links under the "Main" links. You will also find many links in the pages of information. These may be colored boxes or may simply be colored words. We hope we have provided enough links to help you get quickly to the information you want. Many times you may find it is just as easy to use the "Back Button" on your browser to go back to where you were.

How do I get to the Manuscripts?

The Manuscripts can be accessed in several ways. You may use the link to your left to find the manuscripts by their "Manuscript Group". This will show materials that are part of specific curriculums or materials with specific objectives. You will find information about each group and links to the manuscripts listed in that group.

The links are new and still being developed. As we get more materials processed it will let you find manuscripts indexed in different ways.

The link is a reference of materials by the Regions of the World from which they have been submitted.

The link is a guide to Parables and  Miracles for your reference.

Other Languages - Non-English Material

The link is an index of materials by their language. This index is growing as missionaries from around the world submit materials in the languages they use in their work. If you have materials that you or your team have developed please consider submitting them.

Downloading Files

From "Group Lists" or the "X-References Indexes" you can link to the Information/Review page for that manuscript. On that page you can read a summary of the manuscript, reviews, information on how some missionaries are using the manuscript, and select to download the manuscript to your computer.

How to Download Files

1.    When you find a manuscript you want to "download" to your computer, "click" the button for the format of the manuscript you want.

2.    You will be asked your IPS User Id. and your " Password".

We recommend that you create a new "folder" or "directory" on your computer called: "IPSdown". When you are asked where to save the manuscript we recommend you place all downloads in that folder or directory. Then when you want a file that you have downloaded you will always know where to look for it.

Note: When you download files it is possible to change the name of the file as your computer downloads it. Don't do it! Don't change the name of the file. If you do, the file compression software will not be able to open the manuscript file and you will have difficulties locating the file.
